Another Homemade Video

Heck, I was just so happy to have a camera again I couldn't help myself. Me singing! I've been obsessing over Les Miserables lately (can't wait for the movie!), and this is what happened.

I Dreamed A Dream

It needs some work, but it's not half bad, if I do say so myself...

  1. I usually go by the words. But, the first thing that knocked me out was your display picture. Reminded me of Daniel Gabriel Rossetti. Straight from the Pre-Raphaelite school!

  2. It is, isn't it? I forget the date, but it looks to be from that period. It's one of my favorites!

  3. I just remember. It is a Pre-Raphaelite painting, done by John William Waterhouse (I hope the name is right). And, it is none other than the lady of Shallot.

It's beautiful. This one, and another, of Ophelia after her death, are two of my favourites from that period. Check out the Ophelia painting, if possible.

    Cheers.

  4. Yep, that's the name! Which Ophelia painting were you referring to? I think there's a few around, and I want to be sure and look up the right one.

  5. There is one done by John Everett Millais. It depicts Ophelia floating on the water, singing, before she actually drowns. It's a painting that evokes the language of a different reality, may be of a mysterious land beyond ours. Do check it out.

    1. Oh, I HAVE seen that one before...it's always fascinated me. It's beautiful and eerie at the same time, and I can almost hear her singing and the water flowing. It gives me chills!
